Axel Toft Food A/S was founded in 1947, initially as a grain and feed company, trading with farmers in the local area.
Over the years, the food industry has become an increasingly significant customer, and Axel Toft Food A/S is now purely a food company supplying processed food products world wide.
Some of the raw materials continue to be sourced from Danish farms, grown under contract. The more exotic seeds and pulses are imported and these commodities make up an increasing share of sales.
In December 2002 we were taken over by Aarhusegnen Andel.
In January 2005 we have bought one of our competitors in Denmark. Scanseeds in Odense. Today we are the leading company in Scandinavian dealing with seeds, kernels and flour.
Today we are not a department but an independent company. We are 25 employees and have a turnover of 25 Mio euro.
